As evacuations go, it probably wasn't bad, but by any any other scale, it was hellish.
No danger, just delays, discomfort, and disinformation.
I will tell all in a longer post tomorrow.
Me and my NEO were busy.
Carol sends love to everyone,
I'm goin' to take a shower!

Good to hear you are safe and can shower!!!
Also like that you will be back in the USA at least briefly?!?!
Jen says "Tell them to come up here!!" and we'd love to see you, but know you have many friends need to touch base with you too.. and maybe Emily...
Look forward to your longer post.
Much Love, Pat & Dave
So glad you got out of there safely. Much love to you both. My parents and Sara just arrived in Syria today, hooray.

Carol and Rob,
WHEW! I can stop holding my breath now. Where are you and what are your immediate plans? We have a beautiful sunset right now over Great Salt Pond. And you've got a sunrise about to happen where you are! Sleep well.
Looking forward to hearing all about the evacuation. What is Emily saying about all this?

Whew! So glad to know you are safe and sound, maybe even rested by the time you read this. Alan and I send our love and prayers for you and Lebanon.
And come see us, too, if you can.
Betsy
p.s. Now you are "Robert of Beirut", rather than R. I. B.
Antony and I add our "whew" to the collective sigh of relief. Enjoy your shower, rest, relax for a bit have a good meal and God Bless.
We look forward to hearing all the gory details when you get a chance.
All our love,
Sam and Antony
Rob and Carol,
Here is another great sigh of relief to add to the pile... enjoy your shower, your rest, some good food and the comfort of these many good wishes. Look forward to reading your next installment. Love and peace,
Deb
